Climate Action Campaign Tells President Biden & Senate Climate Can’t Wait with Massive Projection on Union Station
(February 28, 2022 - Washington D.C.) — On the eve of President Joe Biden’s first State of the Union address, Climate Action Campaign (CAC), a coalition of a dozen major national environment, environmental justice, and public health groups, projected messages on Union Station in Washington, D.C., calling on the president and the Senate to make critical investments in climate, justice, and jobs.
“We need President Biden and Congress to deliver on the promise to tackle the climate crisis and make critical investments in climate, justice, and jobs,” CAC’s Megan Larkin. “While the President is managing an international conflict, we can't lose sight of the need for urgent action on climate. Wildfires are expected to become more frequent around the country and coastlines could see up to a foot of sea level rise by 2050. Every second we fail to act on climate, the cost of inaction only grows. We urge the President and Congress to help pass these climate investments to protect our health and environment, lower costs for families, and create jobs and opportunity for all.“
