Climate Wins Here

The Climate Wins Here map depicts the investments made in communities nationwide through President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This resourceful map is based on announced and awarded federal dollars and categorizes the investments as clean energy and power, clean transportation, environmental resilience and remediation, and infrastructure.

The map reflects billions of dollars in already-delivering investments in slashing pollution and accelerating the transition to a clean economy–and that number is growing.

This map includes data collected from Federal agencies from August 2022 through March 10, 2023 and will be updated weekly. Map totals include awarded funding only and do not include announcements of available funds, requests for proposals, or applications for future funding. In addition, the map totals are limited to funds that were determined to be climate-related spending such as clean buses, net-zero emission projects, air monitoring projects, wetland resiliency projects, etc. Environmental or infrastructure projects that do not have a clear climate impact such as general road and bridge maintenance, replacing lead pipes, and improving drinking water are not included. Deference was given to grant descriptions made by the responsible agencies. Portions of the data were obtained from the White House’s Building a Better America Maps of Progress, which includes data that is preliminary, non-binding, and ‘a small subset’ of what the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will fund. This map is not intended to be comprehensive. Searches are conducted weekly for new grants and disbursements. It is not exhaustive – we are happy to add any new funding as it is announced.
